Hay Salvage
Are you are planning on cutting and baling a ditch in the RM of Frenchman Butte?
If yes, please phone the RM at 306-344-2034 with the land location and RM road number you do not want mowed, so that we can inform our mowing contractor.
Cutting and baling should not be initiated if you have not informed the RM.
Important Dates
July 8: Prior to and including this day, a landowner or lessee nearest to a ditch has the first opportunity to cut or bale hay. After this day, anyone may cut and bale hay without the permission of the adjacent landowner or lessee.

After July 8: Cut and Bale is a first come, first serve basis. After this day the nearest landowners permission is not required.
August 8: All hay bales must be removed from ditches or they may be removed and disposed of at the discretion of the RM of Frenchman Butte.
As safety is the number one priority, the RM of Frenchman Butte may remove and dispose of hay bales if locations are deemed unsafe for drivers.

Ditch Mowing
RM contractors will begin mowing middle of July until fall.
