The Rural Municipality of Frenchman Butte No. 501 is a municipal corporation governed by Reeve and Council, responsible to its ratepayers: to provide government; services, facilities and other things in the opinion of Council that are necessary and desirable for all or a part of the rural municipality; to develop and maintain safe and viable community; to foster economic, social and environmental well-being; and to provide wise stewardship of the public assets.
