If you have suffered damages from the rain and wind since Friday, June 8th, you may qualify for Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) relief. PDAP will be at the RM office on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 from 9am to 3pm to meet with ratepayers on a one to one basis. Please document all damage before cleaning up by taking pictures or videos of the damage. For more information on PDAP please click on PDAP. If you have any other questions please call the office.
Due to excessive rain and flooding please be advised that some of our roads have sustained moderate to severe damage. Please drive with caution on all RM roads.
Fire Ban Lifted
Effective June 1, 2018, the R.M. of Frenchman Butte No. 501 has lifted the Fire Ban throughout the R.M. of Frenchman Butte No. 501.
Burning Permits Are Required for All Controlled Burns

Emergency Preparedness Guide
Following the fires and state of emergency declared in our RM, copies of the Family Emergency Preparedness Guide from Public Safety Canada are available at the RM of Frenchman Butte’s office for anyone planning for emergencies. This guide includes sections which outline potential risks, suggest ways to plan for these risks, and explains how to prepare an emergency kit. A digital PDF version of this guide is available on the Public Safety Canada website.
