The RM of Frenchman Butte No. 501 is seeking self-motivated individuals to join our Public Works Department, to aid in the road construction projects within the R.M.
- The successful applicants will work for approximately 9 weeks.
Hourly wage between $18.31 to $28.29, depending on the skill set and experience of the applicant.
The successful individuals will possess the following qualities:
- a professional, positive, and friendly attitude while taking pride in their work;
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- ability to work with minimum supervision;
- possess a valid Class 5 or higher driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
- experience operating a tractor, rock picker, and mower or willingness to learn;
- a basic understanding of map reading: knowledge of legal land locations, how to locate a specific spot on a map, and how to get to that location.
The successful individual may also have the following responsibilities:
- install road signs;
- clean out culverts;
- load, deliver, and unload culverts and/or fencing materials;
- assist with the maintenance of machinery;
- clean equipment, machinery, and the shop;
- mow & trim grass;
- paint sign posts;
- other duties as assigned.
